About Jamia Masjid Ghousia

Initially Masjid Ghousia building work started in 1995 and after much hard work and fundraising by the Muslim community of Armley and the surrounding areas, first prayer at the Masjid was held in same year. 

Our mosque have continuously been playing an active role in the guidance of the Muslim community, teaching both the young and older generations as well as producing a venue for Muslims to meet one another on religious occasions. But the mosque has much more potential than this, and we need to utilise it fully so that many more areas of the lives of Muslims may benefit from it.

 

The Masjid is the most important institution in Islam. After your home and workplace, it is the most frequent place to visit. Surely, a Masjid is a place where we can find all of following; 
 

• A Place to pray for all, Socialisation, Da'wah (Call to Islam), Celebration, Meetings & Deliberation, Spiritual Care, Education and many more. 
   

In view of the above, there was a need of some bigger place to do some more activities for growing  community. Therefore, we tried to do extension of our Masjid, which is Alhamdulillah near to its completion. You can donate generously by using the following methods;
